Some independents have seen Pandora royalties decrease by more than 50%.

I think it's probably indicative of the streaming service industry right now, meaning nothing is stable as companies enter, exit and change strategies in an effort to succeed. Just look at iheart radio, from
iHeartRadio is the fastest growing music service no one is talking about. Clear Channel announced that it has passed 50 million registered users, a mark it reached in less than three years, much faster than rivals like Spotify or Pandora.

It might be because there were fingerprints of Bain Capital (remember Mitt Romney),lol, and business practices than actual sales or subscriptions, but that determines who and what is paid out.
