For those of you that have created your own websites, what have you found to be the best software to use to let people listen to your music while keeping a professional (and clean) looking page?

Unless you trust other players and already know how to set them up, then I would use SoundCloud.

It's free to join, it's a mainstay music portal in the industry for previewing samples of one's tracks. On your personal website, you share/embed a SoundCloud link to your track(s) and a SoundCloud player will appear in your web page to that song. You have to go to a SoundCloud individual track page (one of your tracks) and hit the Share option under the waveform. Then copy the Share html code and paste it in a container in your web page on your site. There is also a SoundCloud container usually available by the major website build software sites on the Internet.

I use SoundCloud for that too. My website is hosted by Bandzoogle, and they have a built in SoundCloud player/system that does it mostly for you.

Thank you Waveheavy and AmandaJane - soundcloud (and plugins that support) sound like the standard.

Thanks again.

Squarespace has a pretty clean interface when it comes to audio - as well as all of the usual ways to embed Soundcloud, Spotify etc. I'm a fan

Soundcloud has some issues although right now it seems to be the method of choice.

For my professional website I use hostbaby.
