Thanks all! Seriously, the time just flew by. I could have hung with those guys for hours.
One thing I keep noticing about our successful members time after time: They're all really nice people. The dipwads tend to fail, the grouse about it. The nice people tend to just keep their heads down, do the work and move forward. Chuck and Matt are both tremendous examples of that.
And did you know that Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs sleeps in Matt's studio?

I knew there had to be an explanation for Matt getting so much music to come out of his lodgings!admin wrote:And did you know that Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs sleeps in Matt's studio?

Re: How to Quit Your Day Job Episode
These episodes are just the best! When I was on the fence about joining Taxi a few years ago, it was watching the episode with Chuck Henry and Stephen Baird that tipped me over. I just HAD to join and get on with it, so I signed up that day despite having NO music ready to submit whatsoever. Chuck and Matt is an equally awesome combination. They're such unassuming guys, although no-one should underestimate their talent. Thanks to them both, and Michael for a great show.

Re: How to Quit Your Day Job Episode
That's actually my ultra-secret secret to productivity.... I have all seven dwarfs slaving away over a ProTools rig in my shed and make each of them churn out two cues per day. I occasionally check in on them while I'm working on my suntan outside. I figure if they keep working steady for the next two years, I'll be able to let them "retire" and go do fun things, like hunt for poisoned apples, kiss princesses, and fight criminal witches, hahahahahaha. And did you know that Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs sleeps in Matt's studio?

Re: How to Quit Your Day Job Episode
I liked this episode.
This is one of those episodes that cuts right to the heart of the matter.
Matt's work ethic is that of a machine. That is what it takes to get to the next level. I am so glad that he was willing to take time away from his day to share the truth of the matter. So many people are looking for shortcuts and are paying large sums of money to listen to things that will get them no further ahead in life.
Matt is a prime example of what happens when someone does the work.
Shout out to our Ida-homie Matt!
