Waves SSL E-Channel Strip $29 SALE

Post by WeWillWriteUaSong » Fri Jun 23, 2017 2:18 pm

Hey all. Waves has the SSL E-Channel on sale for $29!! For the first time ever independent of the SSL bundle. This is just a great sounding versatile plugin. I highly recommend taking advantage of the great deal. Have a great weekend TAXI friends! :)

Clicked the link, clicked 'buy now' no hesitation. Credit card has been in lock down for months but I've been waiting for something like this.

Muchos gracias. :D

Yep, me too! I also recently snapped up the Aphex Aural Exciter for the same price as well. Waves keep throwing out some great deals at the moment. At this rate they'll be paying us to take their plug-ins away on Black Friday! ;)

Went to the Waves site and was going to buy it, but... they're only servicing version 9.9. I'm still using Waves 9.0 and no longer have a Waves update plan.

I don't bother with the update plan and I'm not sure if having it is a deal breaker.

I'm not sure what the benefits are. Not in the studio to see what version I have.

Could you post the reason why you feel it's necessary. :)

For some reason I needed to reload my Platinum version again a few years ago, and the Waves site wouldn't let me do it because I no longer had an Update plan. They wanted $300 to install the latest version of Platinum. Re-installing my older version was not an option in my account at all.

I didn't know by simply buying the SSL plugin that they would automatically update all my plugins, but that's what they did yesterday when I bought this plugin (thank God. And thanks to Marcus for letting us know about this sale). I went from the 9.0 version to 9.9. I didn't think the Waves 9.0 version I had installed would be updated, so I doubted the SSL plugin would work with my older Waves plugins the new one being a 9.9 version.

They also have the API 2500 compressor on sale, which lacks only a blend knob, compared to UAD's version, if you happen to be in need of a really great bus compressor.

Great find Mojo! The API2500 is one of my favorite compressors. I have used it on everything from vocals to drums to my 2buss. If anyone here uses Nebula, using this plugin with a mojo style API2500 preset ahead of it sounds utterly amazing.
