Swampy kudos to Screener #276

Post by Paulie » Fri Jul 21, 2017 7:03 pm

This was my first real attempted at a swamp listing, playing all live instruments, etc. Got a return but with solid feedback that I will definitely use in this genre again. I felt something wasn't right, screener #276 nailed it down for me.
The basic motif is good here, Paul, and I like the sound of the acoustic guitar. The electric guitar is a little overprocessed. Simple distortion would have been enough. But the main reason I'm not forwarding this cue is that you have too many instruments jumping in and out in short bursts. Adding one instrument at a time and sticking with it longer before adding another one would make this cue smoother and less distracting - more supportive of a scene.

It's great when you get good feedback. Thanks #276!
