---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RETRO-Sounding 1960’s-Style ROCK N’ ROLL SONGS with Male Vocals are needed for an (up to) $7,500, NON-Exclusive, Direct-to-Supervisor placement in a Popular TV Show on a Big Cable Network. They’re looking for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that could be found on a playlist with acts like (but not limited to) Elvis Presley, Wayne Cochran, Chuck Berry, etc., etc., etc. Please listen to the references to get yourself in the general stylistic ballpark of what they need for this TV Show:

“Jailhouse Rock” by Elvis Presley: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gj0Rz-uP4Mk

“Last Kiss” by Wayne Cochran: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKDMRZv4SYc

“Johnny B. Goode” by Chuck Berry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8JULmUlGDA

Note: If your song is chosen, it could also be used on the TV Show Soundtrack album!

Please submit well-crafted Songs that are in the general style of the references above. Your submissions should have great musicianship, great melodies, and a chorus that’s really solid. Your submissions can be actual vintage masters recorded in the late or early 1960’s, or they can be songs recently recorded and just inspired by that era.

TAXI Tip: Lyric themes about love and forgiveness will work best.

Universal lyrics that don’t have specific names, places, dates, times, brands, and profanity will likely be more usable than lyrics that have those details. Do NOT copy the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine).

The estimated license fee for this use is (up to) $7,500, depending on the ultimate placement. This is a Non-Exclusive, Direct-to-Music Supervisor placement, so you’ll keep 100% ownership of your Copyright and Master Recording, plus you’ll also get 100% of the Sync Fee and any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control your Copyright and Master Recording to pitch for this opportunity. Please submit 1-3 Songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2017. TAXI #S170822RR
