Sending Music Folders to Publishers
Hi all,
Great to see everyone at the Road Rally. It was no doubt, yet another inspirational, brain-overloading and productive experience. Speaking of productive, I have two music library executives who wish to receive music folders containing mp3 files sorted in subfolders of genres. However, it wasn't clear to me the best way to send. I have approximately 50mb of mp3 files zipped in a compressed file, but sending through email most likely will not make it due to attachment limits. Is there a standard that music libraries prefer, such as a dropbox link, SoundCloud download links, or other?
Thanks, and I hope you all had a wonderful and productive time at the rally as well.

Re: Sending Music Folders to Publishers
It's great that you've had a request to send music. Absolutely don't send large files/folders of music via email. Soundcloud is not right for this task either. Use a file transfer service such as dropbox, box, wesendit, wetransfer, etc.
If you organise the files and folders, dropbox and box will also allow the receiver to play music without downloading it.

Thank you. Yeah, with the multitudes of file sharing services out there, looks like Dropbox did the trick! It's a good pc/mac agnostic tool, it seems

Jeff, you might also want to look at Disco (https://disco.ac). I'm hearing more and more people talk about this. It's not free, but it does look very professional.
Cheers

Thank you, F-M - and it was really nice meeting you at the Road Rally. It's so great to see such commitment from folks who travel across the globe to come to the Rally every year. Hopefully we can chat again in person next year!

A great new tool for us just got released called Swan: https://swan.audio/upload/
Bit of a combination of wetransfer and box. Allows anyone with the link to stream the tracks with additional ability to download the full hq file if desired.
