First Ever Placement! (Due to Road Rally)
I was fortunate enough to have my song "Get On Down the Road" be the last song played in the ballroom at the 2017 Road Rally. The panel offered some great feedback! After following their advice I reached out and was given the opportunity to resubmit the song. It was signed to a non-excl with a certain "boutique" advertising library, and just got licensed for use with a company that does GPS street mapping for a certain HUGE search engine.
On top of that I met the vocalist at the Rally who ultimately added the vibe that put the song over the top!
All due to the Road Rally and listening to, and acting on the advice coming from the screeners and panelists. I've already booked my hotel for next November's Rally! Thanks Michael and TAXI!

That's so cool, and a great story.
Would love to know what the feedback was and hear the song.

Yeah - what he wrote.
I'm sure I heard the piece, because I was there at that event... but, I don't remember it specifically.
Can you post up a link to the new & improved & placed item?!

Hey Guys, Thanks for the kind words!
Here's a link to the version that was licensed. The vocalist,"Chase" is a true artist and obviously a killer vocalist! Hopefully we'll have some collaborations for the next Rally!

Re: First Ever Placement! (Due to Road Rally)
Sorry, forgot to post the feedback.
Basically The panelists loved the production but wanted a "grittier" vocal performance. And I had a "Woh oh oh" vocaleese line after the chorus that they said sounded too pop. I didn't change much instrumentally except take a gamble and add the accordion intro and the electric guitar doing that plucking thing in V1. (originally it was a mandolin (real) carrying the intro and V1).
The original vocalist was excellent but Chase added that "Oh HEL* Yeah" sound!
