Anyone using Splice.com?

Post by LamarPecorino » Mon Feb 26, 2018 11:48 am

I recently sold off a hardware sampler. The gentleman that purchased it told me about Splice.com. It seems like a cost effective way to have current sounds available at a fixed rate. It comes with a 14 day free trial. Is anyone using this subscription service? What are its pros and cons? Thanks in advance!

Awesome site. I use them all the time. I recently got a song placed on Fox Sports where most of the samples I used were from Splice.

No but I use Noiiz which is a similar principle.

Pro's -

Good value at $9.99 for up to 1gb downloads each month
DAW intergrated Plugin so it's easy to audition stuff
Advanced search features
Access to any new sample packs released

Cons -

Some genres underrepresented ( not really much trad stuff )
Not always that many samples within less popular keys

Generally a good experience though for those that like to use samples

Thanks for the response. Congratulations on the Fox Sports placement. :)

Thanks Mark. I'll check out Noiiz as well.

I just started using Sounds.com from Native Instruments this week. Managing files is a lot easier than Splice. Also it's cool to be able to download samples directly to your IOS device too.
