Well, still trying to rectify the noisy speaker problem.
I want to wire up some balanced cables using the XLR from the powered speakers to my UR22mk II interface.
Does anyone know how to wire up for this application? (Neutral-positive-negative) My speakers are JBL LSR 305.
At the interface end, do I use stereo or mono TRS connectors?

Here is a sample of the noise

I don't think it's a cable problem. It sounds like computer noise to me. Is this just the noise without any audio? If the audio and noise are getting through, the cables are okay. this doesn't sound like a connection problem or dirty connectors to me. It sounds like a shielding design problem or problem with ur22mk II interface

I'd try updating the driver and firmware

Len, your a genius (or I'm an idiot)

changing both interface and speakers to +4db did the trick. Not perfectly quiet but 10 times better. thank you.

I'll still try a firmware update as well.

thanks for everyone's input.

Hey man, sounds like you've got the problem fixed, so this advice is no longer timely, but oftentimes you can get static from simply having your cell phone too close to your monitors.
