It's me again.. Sorry guys !
I would appreciate having your input about these two eventually. Not sure (again) that it fits the brief...?
Track 01:

Track 02:

PERIOD DRAMA INSTRUMENTALS are needed by an Exclusive, European Music Library with a very long list of impressive placements in Film, TV, and Commercials. They’re looking for Classical Instrumentals in All Tempos that could work well in Period Drama Films and TV Shows like Downton Abbey, The Young Victoria, War & Peace, etc. Please listen to the following references to get in stylistic ballpark of what they need:
“Childhood” from The Young Victoria /
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCa0x3Tuufo
“Selbourne Wood” from Becoming Jane /
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TFLDc8yxSg
“Suite” from Downton Abbey /
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7ULKKJ5UpI
Send them well-crafted, original Period Drama Instrumentals that will transport listeners back to the historical period between the mid-1700s and 1910s. Your instrumentation can vary from string ensembles and pianos to woodwinds and horns. You’d be smart to stick with one motif or idea in your piece, and not try to score multiple “scenes” in your piece. Sticking with one melodic idea will make your composition easier for Music Supervisors and Editors to use!
If you’re using samples/virtual instruments, please make sure your dynamics and articulations are good enough that they sound like the real thing. Any sounds that are synthetic sounding, or obviously quantized or MIDI-driven won’t work well for this pitch.
Your submissions should be about 2 minutes long, give or take. Non-faded endings are recommended for this request. Do NOT copy the referenced material in any way shape or form. Use it only as a general guide for texture, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine).

They sound great to me Phil, you know your stuff.
Looking for a point of difference your tracks could be a teensy bit brighter than the refs albeit only by a bee's whisker.
Congrats maestro, best wishes for a forward.

Thank you so much Lester (what would I do without you !)
Just to be sure, when you say " a bit brighter" are you talking about frequencies, or about the global mood ?

Frequencies Phil, I listened back and forth between the refs and your tracks, there wasn't much in it but I thought there was a little difference. I doubt its a deal breaker.

They both sound great, I particularly think 'In a Heartbeat' sounds very DAbbey-ish
Excellent compositions. Good luck with the listing!

Yes it definitely does.. Aaaaand that's also one of my concern, as Taxi doesn't want anything similar to the temp tracks...
However thank you for your (very motivating) feeedback ! - Phil
I think I'm gonna take a chance with these two.. we'll see.

Fabulous work. I think you nailed the 'cinematic eras' requested.
Sweet piano playing as well.
