Uh oh... MTV's "Catfish" is suspended

Just heard from one of my friends that MTV has suspended Catfish, due to sexual misconduct allegations against Nev (the host and producer).

Hopefully there's nothing to these allegations, and they are proven false. I don't want to believe Nev would do anything untoward, and he is - of course - denying the allegations.

But on a personal level for me and all of us who have had music placed on this show, it would be absolutely devastating to our royalty checks if this show was permanently cancelled and yanked from the air. I know that's a very selfish reason to hope harassment allegations are false, but there's a lot of money riding on this show for a lot of us composers!

Ugh....

We're gonna feel the sting of this beginning with our January 2019 paychecks. To everyone who's made a king's ransom from this show, brace yourselves!

Here's to hoping for a speedy resolution which turns up no evidence of misconduct.
