They’re looking for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that could generally fit in the stylistic ballpark of the following references: “Good Life” by One Republic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZhQOvvV45w “Raise Your Glass” by P!nk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjVNlG5cZyQ “Sugar” by Maroon 5: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09R8_2nJtjg Please submit emotionally upbeat Songs that are appealing on all levels, with a rhythmically, melodically, lyrically, and vocally engaging approach. Your song should be well-crafted and lean more toward the Pop side of Rock, with lots of mainstream appeal. Your overall production as well as vocal performance should generally match the vibe, style, and energy of the referenced artists and other Pop/Rock artists in that ballpark. Lyric Tip: They’re looking for general lyrics about life, family, and the pursuit of happiness and success. Please avoid sending songs with lyrics that have references to specific names, dates, times, brands, and profanity. Do NOT copy the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast quality is needed. The estimated license fee for this use is (up to) $8,000, depending on the ultimate placement. This is a Direct-to-Music Supervisor/Production Company placement. We’ve not been able to find out if this will be Exclusive or Non-Exclusive yet, but our guess is EXCLUSIVE, as most TV shows need to be able to control their Theme songs to make sure nobody else uses the music, and they can syndicate the show, etc. without problems. Once again, that’s an educated GUESS on TAXI’s part!
