Question for experienced Orchestral VI users...

I'm using the EastWest Symphonic stuff and also Albion from Spitfire. Love them both. Here's the question:

When I do a manual fader ride to give a string or horn part life, is there a difference between doing it as a midi volume change while it is still a MIDI track as opposed to doing it as an automated fader change after I have rendered the MIDI into an actual audio (.WAV) file?

I suspect there is, and that it's better to do it while still in the MIDI realm, but was curious if anyone else has thought about/dealt with this.

hey Kerry, I would automate the velocity changes. The better multisample libraries have many velocity layers, meaning an instrument that's played soft is a lower velocity than one played hard, it's not just the volume, they sound different at different velocities.
