Thanks for your comments Chris, Nathan, Steve and Paulie – ha ha, I love that little image.

To address the question about tracks and libraries, I can say my catalog is not that big, compared to some peers, and the same goes for the number of libraries I have tracks in. I could definitely stand to do more "marketing" in the way of library outreach. The one thing that is nice, though, is that when I do a numbers distillation of someone else, say making more money at this, I am getting the same rate of return, roughly, as them. In other words, I have peers who produce more per year, and make more per year from it, but the ratio of $ to tracks appears to be similar. This tells me all I have to do is do what I'm doing, but produce more, and I have a high likelihood of finding a consistency with the royalties in the same direction.

- And the part about the "compounding effect" is HUGE in terms of a variable to recognize. Many of the placements I had in the beginning of getting placements - say about 4 years ago, those cues are still getting airplay and keep showing up. So, I get the return from my past year's work, plus I am getting the benefit of those previous years' efforts. So, that chart starts to look like a long flat horizontal line through time, for a few years at the minimum, and then the growth starts to get somewhat exponential. As many here have described, there's too many variables to predict someone else's outcome, let alone your own.

So, just imagine the writer who has tracks out there working for them from 10 years ago, or 15 years ago, and is continuing to feed that pipeline.

Patty, the very best part of my job is when we hear music from members who get it. For all the people who have complained about lack of forwards, the screeners, TAXI, and the industry at large, it brings me such joy to hear a piece of music that tells the story of a member who paid attention, humbled herself, hunkered down, did the work, and is now reaping the rewards. I hope that every one of our members watches that episode, hears your cue, and gets inspired to stick it out and follow in your footsteps.

Congratulations!

Michael
