Stinger rhythmic placement

Post by Coffeeinthesink » Sun Sep 02, 2018 10:17 am

I'm working on an EDM track and my "stinger" is more on the 4 of the bar. Could that be an issue for syncing? Would many supervisors/editors prefer the stinger be on the 1?

I always use the tonic for stingers, that way editors can attach it to your main version for a button ending where they need it. YOu could always send in 2 stingers if you're attached to your non-tonic version.

Edit: I think I misunderstood you, your talking about ending on the 4th beat of a measure rather than a downbeat, right? I think if it makes musical sense that would be fine. But like i said ending on the tonic is wise.

Thanks Ethan. Yes indeed I meant the beat of the measure, but good point about the tonic!
