KOMPLETE 12?

Post by mrdtman » Sat Sep 08, 2018 9:35 pm

What are your thoughts/opinions on the latest & greatest NI update? I have KOMPLETE 10 Ultimate. Didn’t upgrade to 11 because I didn’t think it was worth it. Now it seems 12 ( 3 versions of this one folks) has some different stuff? New version of Kontakt too. Upgrade from my current version of K12 Ultimate is about $400 which in not bad...I think.

What are some if you planning to do????

Im on Komplete 9, so Im looking to upgrade to Komplete 12.

Also interested in the new Maschine Mikro and the s series keyboards, but we’ll see. I will need to load off some of my other gear to finance it.

The new expansions looks like some good templates for tv tracks, also.

So Im pretty interested in the new release.

I’m interested in the Machine Mikro too to add to my setup. Have been toying with getting a full blown Machine but I don’t really want to do that. The New Mikro looks like the way to go for me I’m thinking. I have a couple of the expansion packs already that I like but think that I could take full advantage of them with a Mikro. I’ll probably pull the trigger on the Mikro first.

Yeah, Im downscaling from a project studio setup (for others to record also) to just a home studio, so Im considering swapping my edrums kit for a Machine Mikro. Still undecided, though, but somethings gotta go as life is too short for trying to do do everything.

Update on the Mikro. Part of the Spec says OS is Windows 10 & later. My machine runs in Windows 7 Pro & it is very stable. Not looking to upgrade the OS so guess I’ll pass on it. I will still upgrade to K12 Ultimate though.

Windows 10 is basically just the mobile version of win 7, so the mikro should work on both versions, but of course I cant be certain. Suddenly my upgrade list became massive, so id have to wait till christmas after getting a bigger ssd.
