Overloud TH3 users?

Post by lesmac » Sun Sep 23, 2018 5:01 am

Is anyone using this simulation software?

https://overloud.com/products/th3-full

I'm wondering if they have sales now and then.

I tried it, bus it wasnt my cupper. Not sure if they have sales.

From what Ive heard, the Waves PRS supermodels could be a great alternative, though. I loved the GTR3 as one of the best modellers out there (especially the citrus models).

Check it out Warren Huart’s test https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=q2QEB0i_tXQ

Being able to load in your own IRs is great, as which cab IRs you use makes a ton of difference to the overall sound.

I do use GTR3 and have just updated some components so I'll open it up again and have another look. I've used the Neil Citron amps a bit.

Thanks for the reply. I'll check out the Warren Huart link. I've been digging his interviews a lot lately.

Cheers

Lester

I use TH2.

I haven't bothered to upgrade to TH3.

Its decent and full featured.

IMO - for virtual amps you are better served by having a few different ones.

Amplitube vs. Guitar Rig vs. Scuffham vs. UAD vs. TH3 vs. GTR3 etc.

They also sound a little different. Each one really shines for certain kinds of tones in my experience.
