Organic Orchestral Underscore Forwards!!

Post by GuyHayden » Wed Sep 19, 2018 4:36 pm

Got these 2 forwarded!!

ORGANIC, ORCHESTRAL UNDERSCORE INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a Music Licensing Company with a long and very impressive list of great placements in TV, Film, and Commercials. They’re looking for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumental Cues that would fall within the general stylistic ballpark of the following references: “The Sixth Station” by Joe Hisaishi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ADRlIx-qI8 A Beautiful Mind Soundtrack – Main Theme https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vr18I1PCECg Theme from “To Kill a Mockingbird” (This section, only! 0:00 – 1:36) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_t98LWNwUhI IMPORTANT NOTE: These examples above were likely scored to picture and go through different moods, tempos, etc. because of scene changes. For the purpose of this request, you’d be very wise to stick to a singular motif and mood throughout your entire piece, so your submission is cohesive from top to bottom. If your piece goes through different moods, tempos, and styles, it’s going to be nearly impossible to use it in a scene. Give them well-crafted Instrumentals that effectively deliver a textured display of instruments blending in and out of each other to create an engaging piece of Underscore. If you’re using any virtual instruments, they need to sound incredibly convincing! Please avoid submitting anything that sounds stiff, synthetic, or MIDI-driven. The more authentic-sounding, the better! While this is the perfect opportunity to show off your composition and arrangement skills, you should still convey one emotion, one mood, and one motif from beginning to end. Having a developmental “arc” that makes your piece feel like it’s moving forward is a good idea. All submissions should be about Two-Minutes long, give or take, with good edit points and Non-Faded, Buttoned endings included.
