Insane and inspiring!
Proof it's all about talent and persistence.
What you know, not what you got!

Thanks for posting. A great reminder of all the stuff we "don't" need to be successful. Cheers

Hey Matt - and other TAXI Amigos - allow to me toss up another HAIL PROFESSOR MATT -
and share this bit of a more serious & personal shout out of appreciation
(I'm guessing he also did this in his humble studio).
In 2015 our 94-yr-old Mom (of me & 4 brothers) passed on in glorious fashion...
with family & surrounding events that prompted this tribute & Celebration of Life song.
After some TAXI Road Rally classes about 'prosody' - it hit me that the lyric about "Heavenly trumpets" didn't have any horns.
SO - a call to our TAXI Maestro, "Professor Matt" - a request that he just be creative and add something where they're mentioned.
Don't let his "Clark Kent" humble disguise fool you - this dude's got some serious Superman chops.
Inspired by what he came up with - a Trio of Trumpets - led me to sneak in a few synth horns - and VOILA!
Just what I'd hope for:
I'm sure Mom's happy & smiling - thanks again, Matt. U DUH MAN - Man!!
May your meteoric rise & success continue.

I haven't peeked in on this thread in a long time, so sorry I've missed all the action here. HUGE thank you to everyone for the compliments! Yup, you really don't need much in today's digital world to make good / usable music. Gone are the days of big elaborate studios, rack-mounted gear, and a mixing board that takes up the entire length of a wall... Time to embrace the garden sheds instead!!
