New Library deal " You Saved My Life "
Hey everyone. I'm very excited to get a notice that a top notch west coast library is accepting another song for their catalog. A big shout out to Robbie Hancock for his subtle and heartfelt production and to Jen for her amazing and equally heartfelt vocals. I am a big fan of this library and I am thrilled that they have notified me for this opportunity. The song is called " You Saved My Life " and is on my Taxi page if anyone is interested. Below are the lyrics.
P.S. just saw the Queen movie last night, if anyone has writers block, go see it
You Saved My Life ( Robbie Hancock )
In my life I've seen the levee's break
Had to fight against these heavy waves
With salvation weak as broken reeds
I lost hope the waters would recede
Then you saved my life
You saved my life
When I thought I'd run out of time
You saved my life
I was stained with blood from my mistakes
That no raging flood could wash away
I just wanted once to feel the light
Begged forgiveness, just to heal inside
Chorus
Bridge
You're my hope and light
When you found me I was lost
In my soul I felt my darkest days had come
But you turned back time
And erased the lines I've crossed
Once again, upon my face , I feel the sun
I'll take this shame within and let it go
Find that peace again, I used to know
In this dark I wait for dawn to rise
To watch angels paint this canvas sky
Chorus...end.

Go your own way! Out of necessity, drive, gumption, whatever.. don't let anyone tell you you can't!
It's not what goes into your music that's important, it's what comes out the speakers
