Listening now, really nice. The piano sounds great, and the playing is really nice. I'll point out a couple of things while first giving the obvious caveat that I'm just a composer like you, so make of it what you will.

I think it's a great piece, though to my ear it sounds more reflective than somber. That's a completely subjective call, though, so others may hear it differently.

The other thing I wondered about, was there any quantizing done on it? Some of the octaves and multiple notes sound to my ear like they are hitting pretty perfectly on the grid, something screeners usually ding you for, citing "obviously midi-driven." I noticed it in a few places.

Anyway, those are the take-aways I heard, but I really do like the piece. I hope to hear more of your stuff. Good luck with the submission!

Thx for your comments
I did not quantize the track, but ''ajusted'' some notes that felt a bit off.
Also, the higher octave was overdubbed, so that would explain that they hit on the grid...
But generally I don't think it sounds Midi driven, 'cause it's not.
It was played live. Too bad if my timing is good!
