Highest quarterly BMI payout

Post by pike » Fri Jan 25, 2019 7:24 pm

This post is similar to Dean Krippaehne's recent post in that I had a track that was gathering dust for almost 6 years. Then this recent BMI payout showed that the track was in a CBS network promo that played 43 times. This one track was responsible for 50% of my quarterly BMI payout (highest ever for me)! Also, that was my first time on CBS!

The deal came from a one on one at a Taxi RR (about 6 years ago) with a library owner who liked my stuff.

Good things will happen! Just keep getting your tracks out there. Like the Taxi saying goes: Create, submit, forget and repeat!

P.S. The track is exclusive, so I'm not sure if I'm able to share it on a public forum or not? I suppose I should read the contract.

Awesome, Kevin!! Big congrats! Love these kinds of posts. These have always been super inspiring for me and I'm sure for many others - keep going and keep feeding the pipeline. It is indeed a marathon and not a sprint. Hope your BMI statements only continue to rise!
