Does anyone know how to highlight or enhance various instrumental or vocal notes on a CD that has already been completed? Specifically, I am trying to do a practice CD to help the second sopranos in my choral group with their notes. There are other CDs for soprano, tenor, alto and bass, but nothing for 2nd sop's. All helpful ideas for solving this problem are welcome. And thanks in advance.

Re: choral practice music CD
Why not take the soprano cd and pitch shift that part down by however many steps? I'm not really sure how they work, I'm googling, lol, but with a " Melodyne" type program, you should be able to do what you need. For the instrument, I suppose you could do an audio to midi for the soprano, down pitch the midi or change the notes, then use whatever virtual instrument you choose for the 2nd soprano.

I'm not sure which cd's you are using, but I found Choraline. Those have narration and use a balance control for the part to increase or decrease the volume of the instrument. If there is a track that only has the organ accompaniment without the narration, you could use that and add a midi track in your daw for the 2nd soprano, and add a track of your own narration.
