New to Taxi: Let’s start with “Hello”

Hi All,

After reading a bit more on the informal protocol I want to make sure I dot the i’s.

My name is Amanda Anderson but I go by Mandy Duke in honor of my dad’s family. Born in a Navy hospital in Virginia, but raised in a rural community in Ohio I have watched the corn grow. I love to dance (although I’m
not any good) and love to sing even more. I took piano lessons for about 5 years and would like to learn guitar. My main goal is to collaborate with musicians and exchange the energy that comes with it. I am a strong believer that anything can happen if you work hard enough, and you can count on me to help you too.

Goals in life: (because dreams were made to be big)
1. Have a healthy family
2. Create radio-worthy music
3. Be the voice for an animated film character
4. Publish a book

The Taxi community is one of a kind - you're in a good place. Lots and lots of great info here in the forums as well as on all the archived Taxi TV episodes. Lots of great and very generous people in this community. Looking forward to hearing your music and watching the process.

Thank you for the warm welcome! I watched a few episodes before joining and was impressed with how full they are of great content. I have been enjoying listening to everyone’s music. There is incredible talent here and I look forward to hearing your music as well.
