It started really well with the real (i guess ?) instruments but then when the drums and keyboards comes in...the drums and especially the snare doesn't sound great, and the synth is obviously a synth. Other than that I like the percussions and the other arabic instruments, the winds and the composition in general.

Just not sure about the chords being used, and maybe that's just because they are played on the synth that doesn't sound so great, but if I'm not completly wrong, there's no major/minor chords in arabic music, usually...no ?

Just my opinion of course :) I want to submit for that listing as well but I haven't found the inspiration yet :(

Well, there are NO chords in arabic Maqam music. But this is not intended as a traditionnal arabic listing...chords are played on VSL synchron player.
As for the drums, I was not sure about it, now I am thx!
