Forward for Irish Celtic Listing

Post by sansharbour » Mon Mar 18, 2019 12:52 pm

Happy to have a forward for this track. A while ago it was a return but then I fixed her up after getting some advice from the screener
It is called "Killarney Calling"
https://soundcloud.com/don-lougheed/killarney-calling-2

ORIGINAL IRISH and CELTIC INSTRUMENTALS and/or CUES are needed by a hot U.K.-based Music Library that’s been signing a lot of TAXI members to keep up with growth caused by increasing demand. They’re eager to find Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumental Cues in the general stylistic ballpark of the following references:

"Coalminer's Set" by The O'Neill Brothers Group

“The Farmer's Frolic” by Gaelic Storm

Please submit well-crafted Instrumentals and/or Instrumental Cues that are quick to establish location, like something you’d hear in a documentary or a travel show. In other words, as soon as the music plays, you're transported to Ireland. They’re open to hearing all sorts of Irish music: from Traditional Celtic Folk Instrumentals to more Contemporary Irish styles.

Your instrumentation can include pipes, bodhran, fiddles, and whistles, etc. – the more realistic-sounding, the better. If you’re using samples or Virtual Instruments to create your Cues, please be careful to avoid anything that sounds synthetic and/or obviously MIDI-driven. Overdubbing a real instrument on top of your samples could be a great way to make your material sound more authentic!

NOTE: They are happy to hear full-length Instrumentals as well as shorter Cue-style instrumentals. Non-Faded, Buttoned/Stinger endings will work best for this request. Do NOT copy the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, so please be sure the instrumentals you pitch for this opportunity are NOT already signed with any other Companies or Catalogs. Any sync fees will be split 50/50 with the Company. You'll get 100% of the Writer's share, and the Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher's share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit. Please submit as many Instrumentals and/or Cues as you'd like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis - No full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Wednesday, March 13th, 2019. TAXI #Y190313OC

Congratulations! Great recording, the instruments sound so natural! What software did you use for the woodwinds?

I'm a bit behind on hearing some of the forwards, but wanted to say this piece sounds great Don! Love the authentic instrument sounds--especially the fiddle and flute (what did you use for the fiddle btw?). Congrats on the forward!
