Hick Hop Forward

Post by ResonantTone » Thu Mar 28, 2019 7:48 am

Got a forward for this track, and I’m pretty stoked about it. “Hick Hop” was never something I had listened to, let alone tried to create. It was a blast and very comical to put together though! 😂 All the input regarding the track was much appreciated!!

CONTEMPORARY, HICK-HOP INSTRUMENTALS are needed for a hard-working Music Licensing Company that's gearing up for NASCAR season!

They’re searching for a bunch of Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumentals that combine COUNTRY sounds and HIP-HOP beats, and would fall within the general stylistic ballpark of the following references:

“Long Hard Times to Come” by Gangstagrass featuring T.O.N.E.-z

"Can I get a Outlaw” by Ryan Upchurch

"Country" by Upchurch X Adam Calhoun X Demun Jones

Although the references have vocals, please submit Instrumentals only for this pitch.

Please submit original, well-crafted Instrumentals that have a noticeable Country feel and vibe, fused with a fresh and current Hip-Hop approach. Your production should be polished, your beat should be banging, and your melodies should be easy on the ears. Utilize instrumentation that tastefully melds Country and Hip-Hop elements together. Electric guitars, acoustic guitars, banjos, fiddles, and even pedal steel are all elements that could work for this pitch.

Your submissions should be about 90 Seconds long, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned/Stinger endings will work best. Do NOT copy the referenced material in any way, shape, or form. Use it only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast quality is needed.

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal. You’ll split any upfront sync fees 50/50. They’ll get 100% of the Publisher’s share, and you’ll get 100% of the Writer’s share. You must own or control 100% of your Master and Copyright. Since this is an EXCLUSIVE deal, please be sure the material you submit for this pitch is NOT already signed with any other Libraries or Catalogs. Please submit as many Instrumental Cues as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis - Short Critiques only. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Tuesday, March 19th, 2019. TAXI #Y190319HH

Congratulations - what a great track - really enjoyed listening to it - you sure can tell you enjoyed that one - it's in the performance.

I love the way you played around with the riffs - is that backward banjo 8-) !?

Here's to a deal!

Regards
Chris

Chris,

Yep, it's a reversed banjo directly into the same clip forward. :)

Thanks for the kind words!
