Public Domain Christmas song forward
I got my second forward this week- cool! For my jazzy, muted trumpet rendition of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen." Maybe something will come of it?
Here it is: https://soundcloud.com/will-caviness/go ... ry-jazzman
my previous forward "groove baby" is up there too on soundcloud.
Cheers everyone!
Will

PUBLIC DOMAIN CHRISTMAS INSTRUMENTALS in All Styles are needed by a successful Music Licensing Company with tons of placements in HIT TV Shows!
NOTE: They're interested in hearing Instrumentals in a variety of genres, styles, and tempos ranging from (but not limited to) Hip-Hop, EDM, Singer/Songwriter, Dance, Soul, Pop, Rock, Orchestral etc., etc., etc. Please listen to the references below to get in the general range of what they need:
“Jingle Bells” by Tiffany Alvord
"We Three Kings" by Halford
"Silent Night" by Michael Buble
Although the references above have vocals, this pitch is for Instrumentals only.
Give them solidly produced Covers of Public Domain Christmas Instrumentals with a sound and style that captures the festive spirit of the holiday season. Please stick pretty closely to the original melody of the Instrumental(s) you choose to cover so they are familiar to listeners. Instrumentation can vary from a simple acoustic performance to a full production depending on the genre and style you choose.
TAXI Tip: Little Christmas-y accents like bells, glockenspiel, or tubular bells could give your submission some added Christmas cheer, but they’re not absolutely necessary. If you do use them, we’ve typically found that it’s best not to overdo them!
All submissions should be about 2-4 minutes in length, give or take. Non-faded, Buttoned/Stinger endings will work best. Do NOT copy the referenced material in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast quality is needed.
This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal. You’ll split any upfront sync fees 50/50. There are no performance royalties for cover versions of Public Domain material.
Please double check to make sure the Instrumentals you submit are truly in the Public Domain! In case you’re unsure if your song is in the Public Domain, here’s a link that will help: Public Domain Christmas Songs - https://www.easysonglicensing.com/pages ... omain.aspx
You must own or control your Master Recording rights to the material you pitch for this opportunity. Please submit as many Instrumentals as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis - No full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Wednesday, March 20th, 2019. TAXI #Y190320XM

Hey Will,
Congrats on the forward! I went and listened to it and it is fabulous! I’m going to have to go back for more listens because I enjoyed it so much. Perfect for a dimly lit room and glass of fine (insert your favorite adult beverage here). Keep up the great work!

Go your own way! Out of necessity, drive, gumption, whatever.. don't let anyone tell you you can't!
It's not what goes into your music that's important, it's what comes out the speakers

Nice track! Swinging. Wondering if this is live rhythm section or Virtual instruments? If it's virtual instruments I would love to know which plugin(s) because of how authentic it sounded.
