Re: Vst brushes anyone?
The brushes from Loop Loft is really good. They are more pop sounding, though.
If you are looking for more jazzy brushes, Native Instruments has it in the Vintage Drums pack for Studio Drummer.
I have contemplated to get a snare, and record brushes that way. Ive found it hard to get a good groove with sampled brushes.

Have you tried any of the other EZ Drummer expansions? I was considering getting the Americana one for this purpose. You could supplement that with some midi grooves via looploft or groove monkey. Curious how this has worked out for you.

It hasn't worked out for me yet but I`m currently working an urban dramedy compilation and I have plenty of beats for that stuff, so I don't need the brushes right now.
Yes, I have 5 or 6 ez drummer expantions including the Americana one, and the only one with brushes is the Nashville expansion, but it is kind off limited to train beats.
So the search goes on I guess
All the best

I like the swirly fell of the drums, It sits quite a bit back in the mix so it is kind of heard to hear the sound quality of it but I guess this could work.
Thanks again.

You're better than you think; if you can play any instrument in tempo, you can learn to execute some simple brush patterns. More often than not, the complicated stuff doesn't work, anyways.

I've used Native Instruments Abbey Road Vintage Drummer.
Very versatile. Check out the demo at the link.
