Middle Eastern Chill forward!
Hi everyone,
I'm very excited to see this track got forwarded!
https://soundcloud.com/susanhillman/shakti
MIDDLE EASTERN-Style CHILL-OUT INSTRUMENTALS are needed by an International Music Library with worldwide distribution through Universal!
NOTE: This company has just started requesting music from TAXI members, so it's very unlikely that you’ve got any music in their catalog. This is a killer opportunity to get in a very busy Music Library's catalog!
They’re looking for Down-to-Mid-Tempo Instrumentals that would fit well on a playlist with the following references below:
“Maha Amba” by Mathieu & Florzinho
The Best Indian Chillout (0:00 - 7:00)
Quoting the Music Library: “We strongly recommend that the members use the instruments, scales and compositional stylings of the Middle East! The more authentic to the region, the better.”
Although the references have vocals, please submit instrumentals only for this pitch.
Please send them well-crafted Instrumentals with an authentic Middle Eastern sound that falls within the generally laid-back vibe and style of the references above. Your production should have authentic-sounding Middle Eastern elements/instrumentation, with smooth, mellow grooves, and slick, grooving beats. As is often the case, simpler is better, and this request is all about establishing a chill, Middle Eastern mood. Anything that feels stiff or obviously MIDI-driven and quantized won't work for this request. It needs to feel human and authentic.
Your submissions should be at least 2 minutes in length, give or take. Non-Faded endings will work best for this pitch. Do NOT copy the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.
This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, so please be sure the songs you pitch for this opportunity are NOT already signed with any other Companies or Catalogs. Any sync fees will be split 50/50 with the Company. You'll get 100% of the Writer's share, and the Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher's share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit. Please submit as many Instrumentals as you'd like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis - No full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Saturday, April 6th, 2019. TAXI #Y190406CC
*Thanks to Harper , DT, Andrew, Mathieu, Merry and Mike for chiming in while I was working on it. Andrew, Mike and Mathieu. I really appreciate your ideas about the sitar arrangement. *I changed it again after my second mix was put up on SC, so it is slightly different!
Cheers!

Go your own way! Out of necessity, drive, gumption, whatever.. don't let anyone tell you you can't!
It's not what goes into your music that's important, it's what comes out the speakers

CTWF wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 10:57 pmCongratulations Susan! I had listened to it in peer-to-peer, and at that time you had already good & very positive feedback on it. Shows again that the feedback here on the forum works! And I had had those Indian vibes in another vocal song of yours before... So, well done! Tom
Hey Tom, thanks for checking it out!
