I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but, I'm working on the URBAN DRAMEDY INSTRUMENTAL CUE - #Y190511UD. And I need some help
"They’re on the hunt for Mid-To-Up-Tempo Instrumental Cues that are in the general stylistic ballpark of the examples below:
Check Yourself: S9 E14 (From 1:27 - 2:01)"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ElF2juPE84
From 1:27 to 1:40.. I cannot tell exactly what are those sounds. They are so crispy, so clean and so well defined. But what are they?
Are they claps? Snare brushes samples? Drum machine samples? (808,909,etc...)?
I spent the whole day today picking and tweeking all my snare samples. Loaded and edited them inside Kontakt, trying several kinds of envelops, High/Low/Band passing, EQing, compressing, using delays and reverbs for tone, etc...
the best I got so far are some passable 808 snares around the freq and with similar attack from what I hear from this cue but way far away from sounding professional.
Can anyone shed some light? I hope my questions do make sense.
Urban dramedy. What are these samples? need some help

Ok Bassmothership,
If you go to Native Instruments Battery, 808 Detailed Kit, Colum 7 Row D, You will find the 808 Maracas 1.
My 808 cents,
Tim
