Middle Eastern Voices VST/AU
Dear All,
I spent some time today looking for a good Middle Eastern Voices VST/AU. It seems apart from Rast Sounds there does not seem to be an awful lot out there... Do you use the Rast Sounds products or is there perhaps a dark horse I did not come across when performing my research? I also checked Loopmasters and Splice but there was not a lot there either and I would prefer a VI anyway.
Please let me know your thoughts.
Cheers,
Matt

I am assuming that they are the kind of solo Middle East voices
If so then there is a freebie Clara's Vocal if you can still find it
and Heaviocity Vocalise

I bought the one from Rast Sounds and the female one from Sonokinetic... They seem OK... but I had thought there was a lot more stuff out there...
Thanks for looking into it!
Cheers,
Matt

Re: Middle Eastern Voices VST/AU
I just googled "Middle Eastern Voices VST/AU".
What about this?
8Dio The New Forgotten Voices Cait
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfwnDTpV9bM
and from the horse's mouth
https://8dio.com/instrument/the-new-for ... ices-cait/
Be careful about what they may be singing about, though ... you know, "my hovercraft is full of eels"!

Also look into investing into something like Melodyne and not for "pitch correction" but for "pitch changes".
With Melodyne you can't change the words, but you can change the melody, so if she's singing in C Minor, you can change that to D# Alhijaz Arabic using Melodyne.
So now you really can achieve that "Middle Eastern Voice" you're looking for.
I haven't had the time or need to poke around with it but when I do ...

Love doing this kind of stuff with Melodyne too - this is a great way to change vocal loops (or any melodic loops) so that they both fit your piece better and are unique so you don't run into problems with other people using the same loops.gabgar wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2019 8:55 am..Also look into investing into something like Melodyne and not for "pitch correction" but for "pitch changes".

This song is in G# Aeolian Major (5th mode of melodic minor), so with Melodyne I adjust the vocal phrase she's singing to this key/scale.
Now I can further edit the pitches to make her sing more dramatic in certain places. I'll do that in another video.

Re: Middle Eastern Voices VST/AU
Thanks Guys! I am trying to stay away from the phrased-based stuff as I have no clue what kind of lyrics the 'instrument' is singing I just prefer VIs over sample/phrase libraries as I always feel that once you develop a nice first idea you are suddenly running out of phrases/samples... I know Melodyne and chopping stuff can help but for me it is never as flexible as a playable instrument and I prefer having the freedom to go where I want instead of writing around phrases/samples. Just my five cents.
