Adult contemporary.

Post by JoeCurran » Wed May 08, 2019 4:08 pm

hi all.

Just looking for some opinions on my song to see if you think it would fit the profile for this one. Any advice on how to improve it would also be appreciated.

ADULT CONTEMPORARY POP SONGS with Male and/or Female Vocals are needed by a successful Los Angeles-based Production Music Library that’s brand new to requesting music from TAXI's members.

They’re looking for top-notch Songs in All Tempos that would fall within the general stylistic ballpark of the following references that we got from our client:

“Shallow” by Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper

“Under Pressure” by The Magicians

Hi Joe,

Yes...I agree with what Tom said 100%

It needs an epic soaring chorus.
And it does sound a bit countryish.

Also as far as the 2 examples...... I don't see how they are related at all.

The Lady Gaga is epic sounding
The Queen Under Pressure cover ...sounds like amateur hour.... but those are the 2 given....

Again...just my 2 cents,
Tim

i agree with the others, i wouldn't call this adult contemporary at all, more like a country ballad. have you listened to the charts recently? ;)

Hi guys. Thanks for taking the time to post your thoughts it’s much appreciated and sorry for the delayed response been working away and haven’t been on the forum.
Listening to it more it does sound country style although it was unintentional. It was written specifically with the girls voice in mind who I was going to get to sing it which is usually quite gritty from jams with her in the past.

New to the taxi process so everyday is a school day for me at this stage.

Thanks again.

Joe
