Hear, Hear!

Post by johndalenow » Thu Jul 04, 2019 10:13 pm

Could someone recommend a good to great headset for no more than about $300 US? Please let me know WHY it's your recommendation. Also, I'm curious about the pros and cons relating to headset vs speakers. Thanks in advance.

Best!

Hiu John, my friend studio engineer suggested Sony MDR-7506... great and affordable, kind of flat response, does not colour your mix...
200$ you can get...

Hope this helps.

I second that suggestion. The Sony MDR-7506 are really good. I know I should be using a good set of near field monitors, but I need to keep the volume down where I am. I don't want to disturb the neighbors.

Good day,
Greg

Hey JD,

Sennheiser HD 280 Pro

For $300 you can get 3 sets!
Been using them for 20 years....just great.

My 280 cents worth,
Tim
