Classical guitar vst
Hi guys,
Anybody out there using Ample Sound AGL?
I'm looking for a decent nylon string vst.
I'm a guitar player (about 40 years) and am looking to do midi recording.
I need a great sounding vst to add to songs and instrumentals.
Thanks,
Billy

The Ample guitars sound really good. They don't hold up so well, though, when they are alone unless you do a LOT of tweaking and programming. Of course the best guitar is a live guitar.
That being said, I did this song using two different Ample acoustics (not the nylon) and a live violin.

Thanks Russell,
Something like that could work for me.
Which guitars did you use?
Enjoyed the song.

Re: Classical guitar vst
I am looking for acoustic guitar sample libraries too (both steel & nylon string)
It would be interesting to hear your opinion about Ilya Efimov's steel and acoustic guitar sample libraries for Kontakt: http://www.ilyaefimov.com/products/acou ... plete.html
It sounds ok to me, but from time to time (e.g. on fast runs) I hear quite synthetic sound.
To my taste, Ample Sound guitars do not breeze and are not transparent enough on several their sample tracks I listened to. It can be caused by fast decay, but I believe that real guitars sound a bit longer - it adds natural transparency to the sound (just my beginner's IMHO).
Russel, very nice song!
Regards,
Vlad

Re: Classical guitar vst
Hi byllsong,
I'm getting enroll in Guitar courses. I need your suggestion as you have 40 years of experience. I'm interested in two courses "Electric Rock Guitar" and "Acoustic Classical Guitar". As a beginner, which course should I take first?
