Great Trick in Logic X

Post by MBantle » Thu Jun 06, 2019 10:29 am

This is so useful and simple to do... The cool stuff starts in 02:00: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUZBFCpnhAA
Hope this makes other Logic users as happy as I am now!
Cheers,

These are great time savers! Thanks for posting, Matt.

Another one that I use a lot is to start by selecting your midi notes, then hit option, shift, and up/down arrow. It moves the entire set of notes up or down an octave. :)

Thanks. I just got Logic today. I jumped ship from PC to MAC over the weekend and now standing face to face with the learning curve, so any time savers are much appreciated.

Thanks again...any other tips or sites or threads here that you think would help me get up to speed would be greatly appreciated !

I really like Logic... buying both your computer and your DAW from the same manufacturer seemed a "logical" choice when I jumped ship more than 10 years ago and I've never regretted it. The only feature I really miss in comparison to Protools is the ability to do quick midi edits right in the arranger window. That is so handy when you want to quickly make a few quick fixes in a number of midi tracks (let alone composing). There are workarounds (like color coding the midi and then open multiple tracks in the piano roll - but it is not as efficient). Maybe they will add this feature one day (but clever people on various forums already told me why that was very unlikely).
All the best!
Cheers,
Matt
