Ambient Instrumentals Help!

Post by brunosantanna » Fri Aug 16, 2019 2:01 pm

Hi, guts! I made this track to the list below. Could you help me? Am I in the vibe of references?

https://soundcloud.com/brunosantannaoff ... et/s-qaCIf

AMBIENT INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a very successful Christian Production Company that’s working on multiple Films! This company has just started requesting music from TAXI's members, so this is a great opportunity to get on this person's radar for these films, as well as other future projects.

Please listen to the following references to get an idea of what could work for this request:

“Koenigsforst 8” by Gas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJMq1bZdEq4

“Tha” by Aphex Twin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmuU7XV45Qk

“1/1” by Brian Eno https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWu4ieBqGFg

“Disintegration Loop dlp 2.1” by William Basinski https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KzOz5KZB_c

Please submit well-composed Ambient Instrumentals that blend sonic textures in and out of each other to create compelling and emotionally-cohesive pieces. Use unique, current-sounding instrumentation and sounds to conjure up a chill, ambient mood!

TAXI Tip: You can submit moody Instrumentals for this request, but they are NOT looking for Instrumentals that are overtly scary or "horror movie"-sounding!

All submissions should be about 2 to 4 minutes long, give or take. Non-Faded endings will work best. Do not copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for overall feel, texture, and tone. Broadcast quality is needed.

Based on similar requests from other clients, we're guesstimating the sync fee range to be somewhere between $150 - $250, depending on the ultimate placements. The deal points will ultimately be handled on a case-by-case basis between you and the Client. The deals will likely be non-exclusive licenses, with you keeping ownership of the copyright and master recording. You must own or control your Masters and Copyright to submit to this opportunity. Please submit as many Instrumentals as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis – Short critiques only. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Sunday, September 1st, 2019. TAXI Dispatch #D190901MB

Cool Track. It reminds me of Mogwai. It's also somewhat in the ballpark of the Brian Eno reference, to my ears. I like it.

Wow! Thanks! I listen to Brian Eno during 2 days to do this track. I'm very happy with your review!

I think you nailed it. I'm going off the references and reading the listing. Nice job Bruno!
