The Ugly Truth about Time Management

Post by coachdebra » Fri Aug 23, 2019 5:32 pm

If we all get the same amount of time, why is it that some people seem to be incredibly effective and get tons of stuff done, while other people struggle to get anything done and most of us kind of fall somewhere in the middle?
I remember watching my Mom as she managed 4 kids, a full-time job, and at one point going to school at night for her Bachelor’s to get her CPA degree, and just being dumbfounded at how she pulled it off. How did she do that? How did she manage her time so well?

time management is trying to control time, which none is able to control. It's an illusion of trying to control the future time, because the past time is over. We have more control in the present time, and maybe the biggest waste of time
is planning the control of future time, because we must consider all variables that we don't have or can't have knowledge of.

"If we all get the same amount of time, why is it that some people seem to be incredibly effective and get tons of stuff done, while other people struggle to get anything done and most of us kind of fall somewhere in the middle?"
Because the people whom "get things done" aren't doing everything. You don't see the things they didn't get done, or what others did for them.
"“Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.”
– H. Jackson Brown"
Yes, however, these people are known for their unique individual accomplishments, not in how they compare or rank one against the other.
