WHAT GENRE THIS MUSIC BELONGS TO?

Post by ricschmitz » Tue Aug 27, 2019 4:57 pm

I made this orchestral instrumentals and I can't tell a specific genre to classify it. I thought "suspense" but I haven't heard that term in a long time.
I would appreciate any input in this matter.
I will post only one, the other needs some articulation fixing.
The screener/s didn't like them at all.

Thank you so much

Giving you a 'novice ears-only' response - the full piece sounds like tension/underscore; probably way too much going on for it to be a tension cue.

BUT... seems to me that you've got the material in there to cut & paste & loop sections of that to create several (I didn't count them) viable tension cues...
in addition to your full composition. Lotta interesting stuff going on.

For ear-critique... understanding that screeners pay attention to those first 5 seconds... there may be too much Intro/quiet in this track; for what that's worth.

It'll be interesting to read what "the pros" have to say about it.

Hope that helps,
Cheers from The Peanut Gallery. :)

Thank you Peter.
So what you are saying is that this piece could be broken up and use in different settings?
That would be a plus, but who am I to argue with listeners?
