I received download payments - what it means in fact?

Hello..

Once I got my last payment from my PRO I noticed that downloads generated me around 50 dollars while earlier that money has been just like few dollars. My actual question is that is there some connection or correlation between download payments and performance royalties that are paid airing my track on TV-show?

I was thinking whether inrease of downloading payments would indicate increase also in upcoming performance royalties payments but maybe not? Meaning that library customers would need first to download in order to use tracks in TV etc but I guess perhaps there is not any that kind of connection? Or is there connection between download payments and other multimedia payments such as if my track is played on some youtube video then first customers need to pay download fee but then nothing more?
