Question about listing #Y191112HH

Post by EPERRY » Sun Oct 20, 2019 6:20 am

Listing #Y191112HH says that the tracks should be 2 mins long (give or take). Does that mean that the tracks can't be any longer than 2 mins? I have some tracks I'd like to submit, but both are around 4mins.

I would say 4 min is way too long. When it is "give or take", I would possibly try to not go more than 15s over it, but I am not really basing this on any concrete experience (where tracks of mine were rejected because of length), it is just a gut feeling.

"2 minutes, give or take", in my experience, means something like this:

- Ideally, this piece should be 2 minutes long
- If it's a little short or long but otherwise really strong, probably still gets a forward and may get used
- If it's way too short or long, likely won't get a forward even if it's really good

I think Tom's 15s estimate sounds about right, there's just a little wiggle room.
