Mixing service/site where producers audition to mix your song

Post by ElMiguel » Wed Jan 15, 2020 3:18 pm

Hello,

I'm looking for someone to mix/master a track of mine.
Once I came across a site for seeking out online mixers/producers to finish up a recorded track.
You put out a listing for the song and different mixers/producers give a roughmix of the provided wav files you have uploaded.
In this way you get "auditions" for a mixer and can pick the guy/girl that provides the best roughmix of it.
In this way you don't have to guess or pick a mixer based on previous references, but get a specific idea on what the producer/mixer
can do specifically with your song through the audio files you've uploaded.

I cannot for the life of me remember the name of this site/service.
Any idea, forum people?

This is the song I want mixed BTW

Lol..Mike is good..but he charges..you won't get any free auditions

For anyone that wants to improve their mixing I would recommend his book ' Mixing Secrets For The Small Studio' ..it's very thorough, he does offer one to one mix feedback for a price..the feedback is very on point and detailed and actionable. Not cheap though.

Not sure any mixer would do a rough mix for free on the chance you might use them..once you've got that far it's probably 70% of the job !

I don't think there is alot wrong with the mix you have. Sure it could be improved a bit but I have heard worse mixes in Libraries. I feel a better sounding piano VST would make the most difference.

Hii there I am a mix engineer. Since I am new to this platform. Before starting off I have some questions in mind regarding to the post.

1) Is the service that I provide will be charged ?
2) what are the number of stems in the track ?
3) what is the deadline for the submission of Draft ?
