Dear Passengers,

We had a great time checking your music-tagging chops for TV & Film placements! Yep, the tagging challenge was on, and we had a great number of bring your A-game when you played "How Would You Tag This Music to Get More Placements?"

Two weeks ago, we had tagging/metadata expert, Joe Brandt, teach us the metadata "rules of the road," so we brought him back to practice what he taught us!

You submitted a Song or Instrumental with the tags you'd use, and we kept them a "secret" until we played the music and had our live show viewers weigh in with their suggestions, in real time! We also got Joe's opinion, and then did the big reveal - How did YOU tag your music? Let's see how close you and your fellow viewers get to nailing it!

Let's see where we all agreed or disagreed, so we can learn together and get really, really good at this mysterious, and often under-used "craft" that can help you get more of your music placed in TV shows, commercials, and films!

Why did we trust Joe's opinion? Read his bio, and you'll see!

Here’s Joe’s bio:
Music Supervisor / Producer with over ten years experience in the entertainment industry. Skilled in Music Clearance, Licensing & Editing. Expert at curating and key-wording music based on Genre, Sub-genre, Tempo, Featured Instruments, and Mood. Composer and Publisher with BMI and a Member of The Guild of Music Supervisors. Holds degrees in Audio Engineering, Web Development and Communications.

I learned a ton from Joe, so I hope you do too in this episode!

Hope you enjoy the episode,
Michael
