Forward >> 70's STYLE SONGS + Return example
Here's the forwarded song:
And I thought it would be helpful to post my return. It was all about the mix/Eq. I had it converted from old DAT tape mix to digital. I still have the 1/2 master recording, so if I can get that transferred to remix, I think I'll have shot at the next pitch. Had a feeling it wouldn't make it, but submitted it to see. Got a great Taxi critique on it!

Both are really nice, Steve. Congratulations. I can see what you mean on the mix of the second one (my favorite of the two on the songs front). I just listened to a few bits of some of the songs from the forwards blog for this listing, and, while most had good mixes, there were at last a few I heard part of that were really iffy to my ears (e.g. one sounded like it might have come off cassette or something).

Thanks Rick!
I am partial to second one as well. Haven't written anything in an alternate in quite a while.

Incredible vocals, Steve! I can hear the Eagles influence in both of these and I think Henley would be PROUD, man.steveprobst wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 7:13 amHere's the forwarded song:

Go your own way! Out of necessity, drive, gumption, whatever.. don't let anyone tell you you can't!
It's not what goes into your music that's important, it's what comes out the speakers

I'm just gonna join the chorus and say wow to the vocals on both tracks.
I don't know what the criteria would be that resulted in the return, but it's definitely not quality of performance or writing. Giant thumbs up.

Thanks Trev! It was definitely a sound quality issue on the 2nd one. I sort of knew that going in, just got a confirmation on that.
