Dear All,
I saw the new Nexus 3 before Christmas but could not spot any update offer for users of Nexus 2 on their website... I was rather frustrated at the time as I did not want to spend the full amount for the new version. Today, I checked my ReFX account and there was an option to download the new Nexus Cloud App and, well, to my great surprise when I installed it the first 'available' product to download was Nexus 3!!! I did not have to pay for it and can now (finally!) use Nexus on two computers simultaneously without a dongle.
I am probably the only person on the planet who did not know that the update was free for existing users but I thought I share this anyway... Maybe someone else missed that, too
Cheers,
Matt

Hm....I theenk I may have bought Nexus and never got along with it. Aren't they more about selling tools for the platform, now? Maybe I should look into that, it did some cool stuff, back when.

Well, Nexus is a rompler but I would say it shines in terms of its expansion packs covering different genres. I would say using the newer expansions it can serve as a great starting-point-palette if you need genre-typical staple sounds at your fingertips. I recently used it on two trop pop tracks that eventually got signed through Taxi.
Cheers,
Matt

I fear I may be conflating it with a signal processor from an Italian company. I'd need to fire up one of my 'boneyard' computers to be sure.MBantle wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2020 12:39 pmWell, Nexus is a rompler but I would say it shines in terms of its expansion packs covering different genres.
