From the afternoon canals of Venice
To a moonlit ferry on the Thames

She believes the restlessness of water
Is the unknown twin of freedom’s daughter

From an ancient Istanbul cathedral
To the mountains of Jerusalem

She believes a journey somewhere sacred
Is a step away from spite and hatred

Will a wand’ring French girl’s intuition
Lead her where love’s roots can find fruition
If it’s myst’ry that her heart yet hunts for
Then perhaps she’ll feel my passion once more

O she’s a lost Egyptian treasure
She’s a catacomb of mystic gems
