Yes I think that's the answer I was looking for. Do you use those two a lot?

I personally have Omnisphere as a main synth but I layer it with other things as well, I have EW Composer Cloud and there are various sound effects in different things they provide. Spitefire's LABS is cool (and free). My DAW, Waveform, comes with Biotek, too.

Thanks that is great information. I tried composer cloud for a while, but I wasn't really able to get it functional with it. I mean, I could work it, but I just wasn't grooving with it. Way back in my PC days I had this pirated program called Ederol "Orchestral". Every note I hit on that thing just came out beautiful. It was so no-brainer I could just focus on music. And I started writing for this movie and came up with some really cool stuff I'm still proud of. That deal fell through, and I've only focused on cues since then. And all of the programs I've tried to use just feel clunky. I might have a look at that LABS you mentioned. I've also considered Vienna as a possibility for the orchestral sounds.

You're welcome, there is also Spitfire's BBC Discover, which is a low cost sampling of full BBCO - Discover is free if you fill out a survey. The strings I used in my WW clip are BBC Discover.

After wandering through the haze of the recent new age composer listing, I was wondering about mixing in 5.1 or other surround format. I'd think it might be promising for really ambient tracks? I don't have a surround system, but the thought crossed my mind.

DP allows multichannel mixing, I don't know about other packages.

I think there were 5.1 & 7.1 surround usb headphones that can be used to mix such requests. Never tried it, but should be fun!
