Hey everyone, I just signed up a few weeks ago for Taxi and am learning about it. I play guitar, mainly rock, funk, jazz, blues more specifically classic rock, jam band, swing, '50s - '60s/blue note, and fusion. I have done a bunch of contracts performing on cruise ships and earned my masters of music degree (jazz studies) about five years ago. Musical influences include Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Phish, the Beatles, the Meters Elliott Smith, and Crowded House. Jazz guitar players I dig include Charlie Christian, Kenny Burrell, John Scofield, Al DiMeola, and Barney Kessell. Most of my recording experience has been in studios with my groups. I have a modest home recording setup I'll be using for Taxi that I imagine will be updated as necessary.
Here are a few examples of songs I've recorded with my bands:

Nice stuff you have there. That sort of music is pretty evergreen so although it may not get a ton of requests , if it's good it can still get placed years later as it doesn't go out of fashion like some other genres.
I don't know if you plan to record all new stuff for Taxi but just be aware that using existing band material with folks who don't understand this side of the business can throw up all sorts of pitfalls for the uninitiated , so have a look around the forums and you should see posts about Work For Hire vs PRO Splits with co-writers.

Welcome! I'm also new and still don't think I have the wisdom to talk about applicability for sync, but I could listen to Loneliness all day! Really great music!
