I liked the composition and track, too Cass.
Hope to hear it in its 'screener-approved' mix, when you get there.

Cass,
I was hoping to hear it on better monitors. It has been moved/removed as of now?

The little USB speaker I listened on (yesterday?) gave me the 'thwack' of the percussion, and I could feel the tabletop vibrate under the speaker, but could not hear the body of any of the percussive notes. I'm not sure if that was due to the amount of compression on the percs? Anyway, the track was really cool, I loved the interplay of all the instruments. But there was this weird sensation of the percussion being masked by everything else.

Hi bud. like this muchly. I played a few sections over and over and I hear timing issues? 26 to 27 ish...then 32-36. Throws me off a bit. Also to me the drums are so busy with off beats, it puts some confusion in the mix? (in my professional view as an accomplished musician..ha ha) I would also mess with slowing it down just a tad. I don't know if your DAW will do that easily. Studio one does that for me in a few seconds. i am old and could be all wet on all of those trivial nits. Just have always loved your stuff and seeing you "in the mix" is cool.
Paul, you were SPOT ON! I found the sloppiness of those sections and cleaned 'em up!
So very appreciative!

Mark, it always seems to be the drums that get the rejection...Having a hard time with 'em...
What are you using for drums ? A lot of the time these drum VST's sound good right out the box with minimal tweaking...first rule of mixing...do no harm
Mark, in this instance I'm using two of EZ Drummer2 (One for the main kit and one to thicken up the snare and cymbals) and one instance of Superior Drums to double the kick and add one cymbal.
Your point of "simplifying" resonated in my head the entire mix, I was "trying" Way Too hard!
Thank you for that!
